"Americans for Consumer Education & Competition (ACEC) congratulates President-elect Barack Obama and looks forward to the new administration's focus on protecting consumers during this uncertain time.

"The economic crisis facing the United States has affected all Americans and amplifies the need for greater financial education and literacy. It is also important that the new administration correctly diagnose the causes of the crisis to ensure all new regulations protect and not potentially harm consumers.
